On March 17th, 2007, at the conference reception at Wheaton Arts, Salem Community College honored Loren for his extraordinary contribution to the glass art world.

Below, are photos of Loren Stump and Paul Stankard's first time on stage together.  Loren completed a shaded-face murrini....his first time demonstrating this technique for a conference audience, while Paul prepared materials for a small paperweight.  Mr. Stankard, who was graciously stepping in for another presenter who couldn't be there due to the weather, thoughtfully included a small chip of Loren's murrini and immediately auctioned it to the highest bidder.
